According to their twitter account, on Sunday, September 23rd two members of the far-left extremist group, Serve The People – LA were arrested. This is the same group that recently doxed and threatened someone for supporting ICE, called for a “sea of armed masses” to rise up against ICE, and encouraged their social media followers to carry out “revolutionary violence against the local government”. According to a blog post they also shared detailing the arrest, they claim they were arrested for simply “standing up for street vendors”. Given their documented history of violence and confrontation I’m guessing this not an accurate representation of what actually happened.
The Tweet that was sent on Sunday linked to a GoFundMe page that has already raised over $1,600 to pay the legal fees of these violent extremists.
EMERGENCY! Two of our comrades have been arrested by the pigs for standing up for the street vendors. These vendors are constantly harassed & chased by the pigs and have had ICE called on them! Please support our comrades by donating & sharing! https://t.co/h3E9QH30zZ

After it was shared by Serve The People – LA, it was then amplified by a handful of other violent extremist groups.

Shortly after this fundraising campaign was launched, the two extremists who were arrested were freed form jail:

Considering this organization has publicly called for armed violence against the government, they appear to be in violation of section 8 of GoFundMe’s Conditions of Use which states:
Campaigns deemed by GoFundMe, in its sole discretion, to be in support of, or for the legal defense of alleged crimes associated with hate, violence, harassment, bullying, discrimination, terrorism, or intolerance of any kind relating to race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender or gender identity, or serious disabilities or diseases
We have brought this to the attention of GoFundMe and hope they will take action and prevent this violent extremist group from using their platform to finance. If you would like to take a few seconds and make sure they know about this you can do that here. Just make sure to point out that this group appears to be in violation of Section 8 of their Conditions of Use and link to any of our reports on Serve The People – LA for reference.
