On July 20th, the popular crowdfunding platform, Patreon, deleted the account of Canadian journalist and YouTube personality, Lauren Southern. In a YouTube video she recently released, she shared the email sent to her from Patreons’s Trust + Safety Team.

According to Patreon’s Trust+Safety team, the platform says they removed her page because it “appears” she was raising funds “in order to take part in activities that are likely to cause loss of life.”

Interestingly, Patreon’s Trust + Safety Team does not appear to share these same concerns with the violent far-left site, It’s Going Down, which generates over $1k each month via Patreon. In fact, Far Left Watch recently launched a #DefundAntifa campaign that resulted in several Twitter users reporting them to Patreon.

In spite of numerous formal reports against IGD, no action has been taken. With that in mind, here are the top five instances where they violated Patreon’s Terms of Service.

1. The Deliberate Sabotage of Transportation Infrastructure

That’s right, It’s Going Down published an article where far left extremists take credit for pouring concrete on train tracks. They even included a link to an instructional video so that other extremists could replicate this criminal activity in their own cities.

2. The Deliberate Sabotage of Communication Infrastructure

Here, It’s Going Down published an article where far left extremists take credit for snipping fiber optic cables in order to disrupt internet, mobile phone, and 911 services for tens of thousands of people. (they recently updated this article since it started to get mainstream attention)

3. The Deliberate Act of Anti-Gentrification Arson

gentrification

Here, It’s Going Down published an article where far left extremists slashed tires, cut fuel lines, and burned a truck. They then go on to claim that this was done “in solidarity with rebels fighting the police”.  This third example is especially relevant considering the recent Anti-Gentrification vandalism in Berekely and the three acts of Arson in Oakland and Emeryville, CA.

4. The Use of Violent Recruiting Materials

Capture

Here, It’s Going Down published an article encouraging people to decorate their neighborhoods with recruiting posters that compare Donald Trump supporters to Nazis and depict them being held at knife point.

5. The Support of Armed Guerrilla Forces

Here, It’s Going Down published an article in support of The International Revolutionary People’s Guerrilla Forces (IRPGF), a “militant armed self-organized and horizontal collective working to defend social revolutions around the world, to directly confront capital and the state, and advance the cause of anarchism.” The recruiting video they include in the article shows the far-left IRPGF using guns, IEDs, and even RPGs.

These are just some of the many examples of IGD violating Patreon’s TOS. Is Patreon unaware of these violations or are they simply selectively enforcing their terms? Either way, I encourage you to take action and join our #DefundAntifa campaign.

If you have any tips on far left activities please submit them here.
